Vehicle Description
This car was purchased in 2002 in fully restored pristine condition. Since then a series of upgrades have been performed to achieve the ultimate driving experience. For starters, to achieve the "Killer" stance, the front and rear cross members were altered to lower the car, while keeping full suspension travel. The front end was completely overhauled to include tie rods, drag length ends, dropped front axle, Lincoln brakes, forged spindles, upgraded steering arms, king pins, bushings, steering box, re-arched original springs, sway bar, and gas shocks. It rides and handles fantastic! A Columbia two speed overdrive rear end with 3:78 gears and 25% overdrive were added to make highway cruising a joy. The legendary Flathead V-8 engine was compleletely rebuilt by California Flathead Shop in Pomona. The motor was bored to 3 5/16 and stroked to 4 1/8 for 286 cubic inches. It was then balnced and blueprinted. A Potvin power torque cam, Mallory electronic ignition, Edelbrock aluminum heads, electronic fuel pump, and 4 barrel carburator make this baby perform way beyond your typical Ford Flathead. The electrical system was converted to 12 volts, replacing all the bulbs, headlights, switches, wiring, heater motor, and trick turn signals. New Vintage Air R-134 system was added and blows cold. The original 3-speed transmission was overhauled with 28 tooth cluster gear and new synchronizers. It shift crisp and smooth! The interior is awesome! The wood surrounds are in excellent shape and look hand crafted. It also features new carpet, new front/rear seat springs, and LeBaron Bonny seat covers and door panels. Everything looks great and is extremely comfortable. A new power Hartz cloth top with glass rear window and matching boot looks so good on this car. Other noteable features are rebuilt window hardware, upgraded original AM/FM radio, full seat belts, custom trimmed trunk compartment, Sun tachometer, steelie wheels, wide whites, and beautiuful chrome, and trim. This is an exquisite Street Rod that will cruise any where in the world with style, comfort, and handling. It has no problem handling highway speeds. It is ready to show, drive, and enjoy. Seriously, it would cost you a small fortune to duplicate this car from scratch. It might be one of the best late forties cars available today! Financing, insurance, and delivery are availalble. |
