Vehicle Description
By 1964 supply and demand was driving the auto industry as usual. The big three were cranking out cars like crazy. Take Pontiac Motor Division for example, they built 257,768 units in just the Catalina line. Of those only 18,693 were convertibles. When you compare the numbers that is just a little less than seven percent, making this drop top pretty rare. Big sixties convertible have always had a soft spot with collectors. The are sporty, luxurious and so much fun to cruising in. The Catalina you see here is a solid, nice, Texas car. It features a brand new Cameo Ivory base/clear coat paint job with all new body gaskets and weather stripping. The chrome, glass, and trim surround an original interior. The carpet is very nice as well as the seat covers and door panels. The power top has been replaced and is like new. Even the dash pad and snap on boot are good shape. The original steering wheel still looks good. Power comes from a smooth running 389 V-8 2 barrel with single exhaust. There is power steering and power heavy duty brakes also. The only modifications we see are the raised white letter tires. This car is screaming for dual exhaust and a set of cool wheels and tires. It runs, rides, and drives very nice and feels so solid. If you like stock/original style cars like Detroit intended them to be you should consider this fine Poncho! Financing, insurance, and delivery are available.
