Vehicle Description
1949 Mercury Convertible Led Sled, This is a real factory convertible that has had a lot of custom items done to it. I have owned this car since 2007, I purchased the car from an older gentleman who owned it for a long time, I would try to buy it every time I saw it at the local shows and finally was able to purchase it.
The exterior of the car is finished in a quality black exterior, very nice paint, the sides are straight, the car has been smoothed, headlights have been Frenched, rear taillights are frenched and are from a Studebaker commander, Shaved front and rear sides as well as the trunk, custom skirts, custom front grill. The factory soft top has been chopped three inches and still works like the original being able to fold up and down. The car sits on baby moons with radial tires in nice condition.
The car has been channeled over the frame aprox 5 inches, there is a late model Camaro sub frame, the motor is a 350 cu in with 340 hp, the car runs very well, no leaks, no smoke, lots of power and runs very cool due to the upgraded B-Cool larger radiator. The Automatic transmission is a 350 . There is a Ford inch for the rear, I am not sure on the ratio but the car will cruise at hwy speeds with no problem and has lots of low end power. The car has front power disc brakes, there is power steering, title steering wheel with custom billet steering wheel, Dual exhaust with active flame throwers.
The interior is from a Buick Rivera, it is finished in a two tone leather, the carpets are new and black, the car has power windows, the dash is stock and has not been changed to a digital dash or the gauges changed in any way, it is getting harder to find in the stock configuration. There is a tan boot cover to put on when the top is down.
