This is an all original restored 3100 ¾ ton Chevrolet Long Bed Pick Up Truck. The restoration of this solid runner was started in 1980. At this point the engine was rebuilt including the timing gear and chain. Since 1995 the head was complete rebuilt including new valves, valve springs and seats and new rocker arms. Within the past 5 years more new parts were replaced including a new water pump, new radiator core, king pins, shocks, fan belt, fuel pump, carburetor, wheel bearings, brake linings, wheel cylinders and a complete re-wire conversion from a 6 to 12 volt system. In the past 2 years the truck received new spark plugs, points, distributor, fan belt, tires, battery, clutch and matching pressure plate. Over $30,000 was spent over the stated time, which included the correct dark green paint and all proper interior materials. When south of San Francisco to Hollister was all farmland is when this rig was probably roaming the land. This is the kind of vehicle that will bring you right back to the old California ranch and farm days in the 50’s. |
