Vehicle Description
This 65 Roadster is an extremely nice two-top, Southwestern car with just 3 owners since 1970; always in New Mexico/Arizona till it came to Seattle in 2001 with the most recent owner. Fresh frame-on restoration finished in the Park Place Restoration Center, resprayed its factory original Silver Pearl over black interior, black soft top. The interior was very original and very solid over all, so we did a sympathetic recommissioning with new NOS style leather over restored seat frames, brand new Teak steering wheel, some minor restorative work to the original dash face, console and door panels, etc. Other work included full engine bay restoration, undercarriage cleaning, new correct Gold Line tires on the knock-off wheels, restoring the side pipes, and lots of mechanical sorting that included rebuilding the brakes, fresh fluids, and other servicing. The car is powered by an upgraded, later model - circa 1970s? - 350 in place of the original base 327, replaced along the line presumably in search of more power. |
