Vehicle Description
A 1967, SS396, #138 code FACTORY AIR, big block car with 34461 mi which we have owned for 24 yrs. It has the original engine, correct but, not original powerglide and a 12 bolt believed original.
It is equipt with: factory Air Condition, power steering, drum brakes, factory tinted glass, day/night rear view mirror. Front factory seat belts,black vinyl top, full gauge pkg. ( amp and temp. not working,( correct temp. sender incl.), black bucket seat interior with console/ clockand factory AM/FM radio
The engine was freshened at 30K and is equipt with an HEI ign., 750 Holley on a rare factory high rise made by Holley for GM ( has GM part #) in 67, after market headers and a 427cu.in./390 hp cam. Also at this time the brakes were reconditioned, new factory GM shocks, new redline tires were installed and the Interior was returned to orig. The headliner was not done but, is incl. with all accessories.
The red laquer paint with black stripes, done , by my guess, around 1970 while nice is showing some flaking around the painted stripes and spidering/flaking on top of both quarters, The orig. black vinyl top is in very good condition.
Their is no rust or bondo that I am aware of. It has been stored inside and has not been in rain or snow in the 24 years we have owned it. |
