Vehicle Description
Muscle car enthusiasts and Pontiac fans rejoice! This is a numbers matching, original mileage, fully restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible with enough documentation to choke an alligator. It is body unit number 511 built the 3rd week of October in the Lordstown, Ohio plant. This firebird was bought new in April of 1969 by a dentist in Indiana. He had it for 53,059 pampered miles and 25 years and then sold it to the next owner who had it restored in 1994. The restoration took the better part of two years and was completed in late 1996. The restoration included beautifully dressing up the engine with enough chrome to blind the sun! We have the original buildsheet, copy of original title, original showroom brochure, original owners manual, Pontiac Protect-O-Plate, original warranty booklet. Also, there is tons of Pontiac Historical Society documentation, loads of receipts from the restoration, and photos of the restoration in process. It is correct in every way. It has a 350ci V8 with a 4-barrel Carb, Automatic transmission, front disc brakes, power steering, and power top. Everything works and it drives beautifully. Only 10,000 miles since the restoration in 1996. You can search the world over and may not find another Firebird in this condition with this kind of documentation. It has been a show winner and can no doubt win another for you! |
