Vehicle Description
1981 Porsche 928 - 5 sp Manual, Competition Package
Time to give up the hobby. She's a beauty, but a little disheveled these days.
She's got about 130,000 miles behind her, and is still very roadworthy.
The good: I changed out the timing belt 3 years ago and added a porkensioner.
The water pump was changed 4 years ago.
I've replaced the cam gears (steel version), accessory belts, etc.
She's also sporting a Borla stainless steel exhaust (cat back).
I've also done lots of little work - spark plug wires, vacuum lines, etc.
Newer tires (Kumho).
New Fuel Pump.
The Bad: The paint is oxidizing, and the leather is getting a little fragile. The A/C isn't working, but I've never tried to fix it (it needs conversion to 134, etc.).
Lots of other little things that go along with a 30 year old car.
But ... she still runs like mad, she's a lot of fun, and she's usually very reliable.
I've sent lots of money to 928 International over the years (I bought it in 1999), and I've received lots of good advice from the rennlist.com crowd.
Comes with some spare parts, literature and other goodies. |
Vehicle Options 2 Door, Manual Transmission, Alloy Wheels, Fog lamps, Bucket Seats, Folding Rear Seat, Power Mirrors, Power Steering, Power Windows
