The 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in four models: Laredo and Limited, each with either 2WD or 4WD. Standard equipment includes an automatic transmission, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), and dual airbags. Additional standard features include cruise/speed control, power windows, power steering, rear window defroster, and power door locks. Optional features include an engine block heater, an AM/FM stereo cassette with CD player, sunroof, skid plates and a full-size spare tire. The base engine is a 4.0-liter 6-cylinder, with an optional 5.2-liter V8. Each is equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission, and three separate 4WD systems are offered |
