A split, folding rear seat augments the 14-cubic-foot trunk. Good engine offers power while the smaller design allows for much better "get up and go". Precise steering, sporty handling, and a firm ride make our Contour feel more German than American. Most road-testers praised the sporty SE, in particular, for its fun-to-drive qualities.
