This C55 AMG, combines an updated, upgraded C-Class platform and interior with a burbling, handbuilt, 362-horse V-8 with a 376-pound-feet peak at 4000 rpm, nearly 300 of it on hand by just 2000 revs. In order to make the V-8 work in the C's compact confines, Mercedes integrated the front end from the CLK55 AMG. This visually distinguishes this limited-edition performance model from the rest of the lineup. This also gives a wider track, and the handling potential is further complemented by the addition of 18-inch wheels and tires (the C32 had 17s). The balance of the modifications follow the pattern of other AMG models: more aggressive suspension tuning, bigger vented disc brakes, sport seats, scrumptious Nappa leather trim, and quad exhaust pipes.
