Vehicle Description
The 2006 Mercury Mountaineer receives updates to the interior and exterior including a refined front-end, new liftgate and power-deployable running boards. The interior gets a complete makeover with new seats, instrument panel, refined gauge cluster, restyled door handles and power window switches featuring a push-pull design. The optional 4.6-liter V8 engine mated to a new six-speed transmission receives a power increase to 292 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. A stronger frame, an all-new independent rear suspension, revised front suspension and bigger brakes are all new for 2006. |
