This Mercedes E 420 in exceptional condition was destined to a private collection in Europe and shows less than 80,000 miles on the odometer, which is in line with the general condition of the car which maintains the original paint and interior in perfect condition. Approximately US$10,000 (invoices available) was recently invested in the maintenance of this vehicle including brakes, suspension, engine, filters, electrical parts and general aesthetics to make it work and drive as it should. As the pictures show the undercarriage is in pristine conditions with no signs of rust, welding or services keeping an original “time capsule” condition.

Keeping the tradition of exclusive Fittipaldi Équipé models alive, this example was developed based on a 1994 Mercedes Benz E 420 using only new authentic components, NOS (New Old Stock), in addition to parts supplied by traditional suppliers of Fittipaldi Motoring Accessories in Miami.

At the time, most Mercedes Fittipaldi Équipé were black, gray and silver, with this example being one of few if not the only dark blue with a gray leather interior, which makes it even rarer. In addition to the unique handmade steering wheel with airbag and all the logos and identification plate displaying the authentic VIN number, this car has a sophisticated anti-radar detector installed, which was a highly desired option at the time. Sun roof, Electric adjustable seats, Mercedes original garage remote command, speed control, and top of the line original Becker radio, all in working condition complete this one-of-a-kind automobile. Besides of the desirable Fittipaldi Équipé style wheels with brand new tires, the sale includes the original Mercedes Benz wheels, also with low usage tires.

In the 80s and 90s, Fittipaldi Équipé developed, together with its European suppliers, wheels with exclusive measurements and designs that unfortunately do not meet current standards. Therefore, this car is equipped with new wheels and tires that follow the look of the time.

Fittipaldi Motoring Accessories, in addition to automotive components, offered sophisticated Heuer Fittipaldi wristwatches in its line, which at the time were sold at US$3,500. As production was limited, owners of special Fittipaldi Équipé cars had priority to acquire the watch.

This pre-production model offered here corresponds to number 00000 with original leather strap and buckle. This is the model developed by the factory for approval, and has the external box, in addition to an internal case in buffalo leather with the Fittipaldi logos engraved. With the approval of the prototype, the commercial line had the Fittipaldi logo added to the Heuer trademark on the dial. This piece was maintained for 37 years by the original owner, and having had recent maintenance, is in perfect working order.
