FOR SALE is an original 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe. We purchased this vehicle from the long-time owner of 25 years. What is very rare about this vehicle is its sportomatic transmission. This concept Porsche used only 5% of the production cars from 74-75. It’s essentially half automatic, half manual, you don’t have a clutch but you still have to shift. This car is very original inside and out. It’s finished in its original silver over red interior. The body is very straight, no sign of accidents or major rust. All original panels. It is powered by its original 2.7L engine mated with that sportomatic transmission. The motor sounds great and has plenty of power. Mechanically this car is running and driving but please read the following! There is a plastic piece on the shifter that acts as a contact in order to activate the clutch. That part is broken. I tried to fix it but sometimes it’s working perfectly, sometimes not. It’s called gearshift contact switch part #90561303901. From my understanding it’s only sold in Europe, I wasn’t able to buy it here. Down the line I see someone just installing a regular 5 speed manual transmission, and forgetting about this sportmatic. But the previous owner actually had the transmission in it rebuilt, and hasn't had too many miles since. The tires look practically new. Suspension and brakes feel good and normal.
