No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1967 Ford Mustang 428 GT500 Restomod! A Classic Muscle Car Made to be driven while giving tribute to the great Carol Shelby! 1967 was the year that started the Real Muscle Car era. New to the Shelby lineup for 1967 was the Shelby GT500. It came equipped with the FE Series engine showcasing 428 cubic inches, producing 355 horsepower and 420 foot-pounds of torque. The 428 FE Big Block engine was topped with a pair of Holley 600 CFM carburetors, a mid-rise aluminum intake, and were available with either a four-speed manual or a three-speed automatic. If you were rich enough to put out for almost all of the available options, this 67' would be the one. Starting off its life as a Real 1967 Ford Mustang C-Code Fastback, it has since undergone a dramatic transformation both in and out! The original build sheet was even found during our investigation and was still taped to the underside of the dash! Originally a Wiimbledon white Mustang, it was destined to be driven! With styling and performance in mind, a Full GT500 conversion process began. Finally a Classic car you can drive without the liability of an original, but still accomplish the appreciation of a Shelby GT500. The Full exterior of this Fastback is almost an exact replica of the original, from the Shelby Stripes, the Functional GT500 Fiberglass Hood, the center Inboard lights, Two piece Shelby VN427 wheels that are a one off custom wheel that was brushed down to have a tinted clear overlay , the Shelby GT500 Fiberglass trunk, and even the Shelby Styled Gas Cap. With no apparent sheet metal replacements the body is solid and has had the Shelby side scoops installed as well indicating the sheetmetal and body panels are all original. This Fastback has been equipped with Restomodit LED Split headlights. Under the hood lies a Period Correct Ford 428 FE Big Block motor mated to a 4-Speed manual Toploader transmission. The complete engine bay showcases all of the factory seams and appears to have never been altered. Atop the engine is an Aluminum Finned Cobra Air induction system with Dual Holley Carburetors. The Aluminum Accessories flow throughout the engine from the LeMans Valve Covers, Edelbrock Water Pump, and even down to the Cobra Finned Oil Pan. Although very powerful, this engine has optional power brakes included in the engine bay. An upgraded RedTop Optima Battery has been installed in the factory location and to keep this Ford Big Block engine cool a new fan shroud was installed and is paired with a factory-style radiator and a single clutch fan. Stepping inside is stepping back in time with the Black Vinyl interior. The Seats have been reupholstered with new vinyl both front and rear. In the rear are Shebly lap belts, and up front are Shelby lap belts paired with Shoulder Harnesses that are attached to a 4-Point Padded Roll Bar which today are still in great condition just as they were back in 1966. The black vinyl dash is crack-free and beyond the Shelby, 3-spoke steering wheel are the factory 140 MPH and 8000RPM gauges. Added are the Center dash Optional Gauges. The radio has been upgraded to a factory-style radio with added kick-panel speakers. Along with the new black carpets and GT500 Floor mats is the 4-Speed Hurst Shift Knob with a white 4-speed selector. Adding to the Rare factor is the Rare Rear Fold down seat. As a Classic Muscle car should, the entire underbody is solid and stout. It has gone through a renovation where everything was brought down to bare metal and repainted the factory correct colors. During the initial inspection, all factory seams are present along with no signs of any metal replacement or modifications. New bilstein shocks have been upgraded all around giving this ride a much smoother ride quality over those bumps
