Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the classic and muscle car business. The Mazda RX-7 was one of the more interesting and innovative sports cars produced during the latter half of the 20th century. Powered by evolving versions of Mazda's revolutionary Wankel rotary engine, RX-7 sales in North America ceased in 1996 and the Mazda faithful had to wait nearly a decade for the RX-8. Developed by NSU of Germany in the 1950's, the Wankel engine was an internal combustion engine that converted combustion pressure directly into rotating motion, rather than the abrupt directional changes of a piston engine. Different? Well, the 1.3L naturally aspirated mill in this beautiful 2004 RX-8 makes 247 hp at 9000(!) rpm. Additional features include a fully independent suspension, power rack and pinion steering, power ventilated 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, power windows, power driver's seat, power door locks, power moonroof, power O/S mirrors, air conditioning, 6-speed manual O/D transmission with short throw shifter, limited slip differential, heated leather seats, cruise control, fog lights, a Bose AM/FM/CD premium audio system, and sporty 225/45ZR18 tires wrapped around alloy wheels. As you would expect from a car with only 1535 miles, this jewel looks, smells, and feels new and the unique engine purrs along beautifully. One of my favorite details on this lightweight coupe is the rear access doors that allows adults to sit in the back without need of a chiropractor! The only blemish I can find is a small ding in the left rear fender that is clearly visible in the images. If this rotary engined corner carver belongs in your garage, call the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
