1998 Jaguar XK-Series XK8

The beautiful XK8 was introduced by Jaguar in 1997 with a new 4 litre, fuel-injected V-8 engine and an entirely new smooth-line classic body design somewhat reminiscent of the fabulous XKE of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. Offered in both coupe and convertible form, the new car was very luxurious with a soft Connolly hide interior and beautiful polished walnut facia and trim, electrically operated convertible top, windows, seats (with memory positions), mirrors and locks, factory AM-FM/cassette stereo system with remote stacking CD player, 18” factory alloy wheels, etc. Safety features such as twin airbags, ABS anti-lock brakes, traction control, fog lights, etc. are present. Performance for this 2-ton luxury sports car is impressive with its aluminum, twin overhead cam, V-8 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission producing a 0-60 mile per hour acceleration time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.


Finished in original classic British Racing Green with Biscuit leather, beautiful tan convertible top and interior-matching convertible top boot, our car was purchased new as a birthday gift for a local woman who has treasured her car since the day it was delivered by the local Jaguar dealer. It has been serviced “by the book”, primarily by the Jaguar dealer from whom her husband purchased it for her. Prior to purchasing the car, we brought it into our shop to study the body and the undercarriage. Our service manager pronounced the car to be one of the best he has seen and we’re proud to have it here for sale. Original manuals, tools, and service history are all present with the car and it drives exactly as it should.
