This 1978 Lincoln Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition was sold new by Ted Nieters Motor Company of Greeley, Colorado, and is one of 5,159 produced for the model year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Ford Motor Company. This example is finished in Jubilee Gold Metallic with a gold vinyl landau roof over gold cloth upholstery, and it is powered by a 460ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15" turbine-style wheels, a power-operated sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, power windows and door locks, and an AM/FM stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in July 2021, and subsequent work included fluid flushes, a carburetor overhaul, an air conditioning system recharge, and replacement of the mufflers, distributor, brake components, rear shocks, radiator, spark plugs, battery, and transmission pan gasket. This Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition is offered with two keys, manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a tool kit, service records, a Marti report, an umbrella, spare parts, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.
Diamond Jubilee Edition Continentals left the factory painted in one of two colors, and this example is finished in Jubilee Gold Metallic (66). The car was reportedly repainted under previous ownership, along with replacement of the vinyl landau roof. Features include chrome bumpers with body-color inserts, hideaway headlights, front fender vents, and a gold vinyl landau roof with opera windows that show Diamond Jubilee Edition etchings. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the car is equipped with the Sure Track brake package. Service carried out during current ownership included a brake fluid flush and replacement of the master cylinder, brake rotors and pads, and rear shocks.

The two-spoke steering wheel features wood grain accents and frames an 80-mph speedometer and a Cartier analog clock. A fuel-level gauge and “miles-to-empty” gauge are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 7k miles and is believed to have rolled over. Total mileage is unknown.
The 460ci V8 was rated at 210 horsepower and 357 lb-ft of torque when new. Work carried out under current ownership included an oil change, a coolant flush, a carburetor overhaul, an air conditioning system recharge, and replacement of the aluminum radiator, thermostat, coolant hoses, serpentine belts, spark plugs, air filter, distributor, and cap and rotor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Service performed during current ownership included a transmission fluid flush and replacement of the transmission pan gasket, catalytic converters, mufflers, and resonators.
