Dodge D200 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup for consideration. The truck is
powered by its 318 CID engine, 727 automatic transmission and 4
wheel drive. The truck was purchased new 1-23-1974 at Ellsworth
Brothers, Inc. of Idaho Falls, ID by a cattle rancher from West
Yellowstone, MT. A real-life John Dutton? Perhaps; his family has
been in the area for generations, he served as a politician, and
established a legacy in the area. The truck remained in the hands
of the original owner until our recent acquisition.
The truck is stated to be original miles, 97,769; the condition of
the truck and presentation does back this up. Today, the cab
retains its original factory sheet-metal and paint, Light Blue, over
original black interior with white factory steel wheels. The interior
remains extremely original to include rubber floor, door panels,
original dash, original steering wheel, the bench seat may have
been recovered, but it is hard to tell. The pick-up bed was
converted to the flat bed approximately 10 or so years ago.
Factory options include: Power steering, power brakes, factory
air, HD radiator, bench seat, rubber floor, high and low gear 4
wheel drive etc. Other goodies include a CB radio, roof top spot
light, tow brake, plow set up, etc.
Cosmetically, the truck is quite remarkable in its original
presentation, it does have a few bumps and bruises as one would
expect, but the paint does remain deep and glossy as the truck
was kept indoors when not in use. The original interior presents
excellent, under the hood is tidy, and the frame and underside is
dry and rock solid. Mechanically, the truck is fantastic. It runs,
drives, and performs as it should and is ready to go to work for
you. Recently, the truck received new tires and a new exhaust.
Routine services and maintenance were performed.
Rarely do you find quality original vehicles in this condition and
with such a cool story. Documentation includes original owner
