The 1987 Porsche 928 is a grand touring car with an emphasis on luxury and performance. It's part of the vehicle's first and only generation, which ran from 1978 to 1995. The 928 came with a commanding 5.0-liter V8 engine, an upgrade from previous models, and it produced 316 horsepower. It was mated to either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The car notably featured the "Weissach Axle", a special type of rear wheel steering that helped to counteract oversteer. As for the cabin, plush upholstery, ample space, and a sophisticated demeanor marked what was, at the time, Porsche's top-of-the-line model. In 1987 a new 'S4' variant was also introduced. It came with updated, smoother styling and larger brakes with four-piston calipers.
