The 1988 Chevrolet Camaro is part of the classic muscle car's third generation. Available in coupe and convertible body styles, with trims including the base Sport Coupe, Berlinetta, and the top-of-the-line IROC-Z. Two engines were available: a 2.8L V6 with 135 horsepower and a 5.0L V8 option generating 170-230 horsepower depending on the chosen configuration. All models had rear-wheel drive and were available with 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmissions. Despite not being particularly advanced in the arena of safety features given its era, the Camaro offered a driver's airbag and four-wheel disc brakes on some models. The 1988 Camaro's stand out features were its high performance and iconic design.
