The 1990 Ford Thunderbird is part of the 9th generation of this model line and fits into the personal luxury car segment. The '90 Thunderbird came with two engine options: a 3.8-litre V6 producing 140 horses and a supercharged version of the same engine for the Super Coupe models, cranking out 210 hp. These were paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. Notable features for the time period include antilock brakes, power windows, and an optional electronic instrument panel. The Super Coupe was recognized by Motor Trend as the 1989 Car of the Year. However, this would be the final iteration of the Thunderbird before Ford revamped the model for 1994.
