1991 Cadillac Allante Overview

The 1991 Cadillac Allante is a luxury two-seat roadster, distinct as a result of its Pininfarina-designed Italian body and American sedan-like comfort and power. It's powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine producing 200 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A front-engine, front-wheel drive layout gives it a unique positioning in the market. This Allante model marked the first time Cadillac used a speed-sensitive suspension and traction control system. Inside, the Allante impresses with a fully digital instrument cluster and a host of other luxury amenities, notwithstanding a car phone, a rarity for its time. Unfortunately, the Allante didn’t see many changes for 1991, and lacked the Northstar V8 engine that would debut in the 1993 model year.
