The 1991 Land Rover Range Rover represents the first generation classic series, also referred to as a Range Rover Classic. Off-road capabilities remain its core strength, with a permanent four-wheel-drive system coupled with a center locking differential. Power is supplied by a 3.9-liter V8 engine, outputting around 182 horsepower and mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Its body-on-frame construction makes it incredibly rugged and capable on almost any trail, while the generously sized windows provide excellent visibility. The cabin remains relatively utilitarian in keeping with its rugged reputation, but leather seats and a premium sound system offer a hint of luxury. Despite being geared for off-road adventure, this Range Rover model can still handle highway driving and suburban cruising respectably.
