1993 Honda Civic del Sol Overview

The 1993 Honda Civic del Sol, known in other markets as simply the Honda del Sol, was a front-engine, front-wheel drive, 2-door targa top car loosely based on the Honda Civic platform. There were two available trims: S and Si. The S trim came with a 1.5L 102 horsepower engine, while the higher Si trim equipped a 1.6L 125 horsepower engine. Both offered either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, with the Si model also featuring a standard power moonroof. Despite its small size, the Del Sol was praised for its handling and fun-to-drive aspect. However, it lacked the tech and safety features we're accustomed to in modern cars, highlighting its place as a product of the early '90s car design philosophy.
