The 1995 GL-Class from Mercedes-Benz is a part of the first generation of the luxury SUV, produced between 2006 and 2012. The '95 model year predated the actual GL-Class lineup, therefore it wasn't officially categorized under any trim at that time. Typically, the GL320, GL450, and GL550 were the offered trims during the first generation, with the latter trims packing more power and luxury features. Engines ranged from a 3.0L V6 diesel engine in the GL320 CDI to a hefty 5.5L V8 in the top-level GL550. All trim levels of the GL-Class featured Mercedes-Benz's 4MATIC AWD system and came with a seven-speed automatic transmission. This vehicle was noted for its comfortable ride, roomy interior, and high-quality materials, living up to Mercedes' luxury reputation. Safety features were inclusive of standard stability control and an array of airbags. Infotainment technology included in newer models, however, was not yet prevalent in most vehicles during the '95 year.
