The 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 was part of the second-generation of Ram Trucks that began in 1994. It offered an array of engine options including a 5.2L, 5.9L and 8.0L V8 that produced between 230 and 300 horsepower and a 5.9L inline-6 Cummins Turbo Diesel delivering 215 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.
