The 1996 Ford Thunderbird is part of the tenth generation of this classic American coupe. Two trims were available: LX and Super Coupe. Both were powered by a rear-wheel drive layout, but different engines. The Thunderbird LX had a 4.6L V8 that churned out 205 hp, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Super Coupe featured a supercharged 3.8L V6 producing 230 hp, and was matched to a 5-speed manual or optional 4-speed automatic. The models came with standard safety features for the era such as dual front airbags and ABS. Its cabin boasted an AM/FM radio, cassette deck, and a power driver's seat among other features.
