1998 Chevrolet Tracker Overview

The 1998 Chevrolet Tracker represents the optimism of small SUVs in the late 90s. This compact SUV—originally a joint venture between General Motors and Suzuki—delivers a decently powered performance with its 1.6-liter inline-4 engine producing 90 horsepower. Though not particularly mighty, it shines in terms of gas mileage. This 4WD comes with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. Also, the two trims available are the Base and the LSi model. Being a bare-bones vehicle geared toward the outdoors, the Tracker doesn't feature many of the technology and safety features found in today's cars, but it does have standard driver and passenger airbags. Its small size gives it a bantamweight feel, but it's rugged and durable, offering solid off-road capabilities.
