The 1998 Chrysler Sebring is part of the first Sebring generation, originally introduced in 1995. Offered as both a coupe and convertible, this mid-size vehicle is known for its stylish exterior and spacious interior. Two engine options were available: a 2.0L 4-cylinder producing 140-hp and a beefier 2.5L V6 dishing out 168-hp. Both engines were mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, with the manual option only available on the 4-cylinder engine. The Sebring featured basic safety features for the time, such as dual front airbags and anti-lock brakes. The vehicle's infotainment system included an AM/FM radio and cassette player. Notably, the 1998 model introduced new color options and a revised grille design.
