The 1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT is a part of the second generation of this sports car. Available trims included the base 3000GT, the 3000GT SL and the high-performance 3000GT VR-4. It came with two engine choices: a 3.0-liter V6 that produced 218 horsepower and 205 pound-feet of torque, or the boosted twin-turbocharged variant that produced 320 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque, found exclusively in the VR-4. Transmission options included a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. The base and SL models had front-wheel drive, while the VR-4 featured all-wheel drive. Safety-wise, it had standard dual front airbags, as well as an available anti-lock braking system. Notable features included a rear spoiler, power windows, power locks, and a power driver's seat.
