The 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a front-wheel-drive midsize coupe that marked the fourth generation of the model. It came in two trims: the LS and the sportier Z34. The LS offered a 3.1-litre V6 engine delivering 160 horsepower, while the Z34 stepped it up with a 3.8-litre V6, generating a more robust 200 horsepower. Both trims came with a four-speed automatic transmission. Inside the cabin, the Monte Carlo had a distinctly sporty flair, featuring a driver-oriented cockpit and available leather upholstery. As for safety, it came standard with dual front airbags, daytime running lights and anti-lock brakes. Infotainment features weren't as advance at this time but the Monte Carlo could be equipped with an AM/FM radio with a CD player.
