1999 Dodge Durango Overview

The 1999 Dodge Durango is a part of the first generation of this model, a rugged mid-sized SUV equipped to tackle all sorts of terrain. It's available in two trims: base and SLT, both decently equipped with features for the period. It offers a four-wheel-drive (4WD) drivetrain with two engine options — a 5.2-liter V8 producing 230 horsepower or a 5.9-liter V8 with 245 horsepower. Both engines are paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. For tech, the Durango was a bit basic due to the era, but it offered an optional infotainment system with AM/FM and CD player. Safety features are also rudimentary compared to today's standards, with dual front airbags and ABS standard across the range.
