The 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 is the second-generation version of this full-size pickup truck. Available in 2WD or 4WD, this heavy-duty beast is a workhorse to reckon with. It came with three engine options: a 5.9-liter V8 with 230 hp, a 8.0-liter V10 with 300 hp, and a 5.9-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six with 235 hp. A 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission could be paired with these engines. Three trims were available: the base ST, middle SLT, and top-tier Laramie SLT. While the 1999 Ram largely focused on power and performance, it also offered amenities such as air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an optional upgraded audio system. Safety-wise, it came standard with dual front airbags and had available four-wheel ABS.
