2000 BMW M Overview

The 2000 BMW M models, part of BMW’s high-performance lineup, are known for their powerful engines, precise handling and luxurious accommodations. The M designation is given to three models in 2000: the M Roadster, the M Coupe and the M5 sedan. Under the hood, the M Roadster and M Coupe boasted a 3.2-liter inline-six engine that made 240 horsepower, while the M5 packed a 4.9-liter V8 churning out 400 horsepower. Across the range, engines were mated to a sprightly 5-speed manual transmission. Standard features included high-quality leather interiors, power-operated seats, and BMW's sophisticated stability control system, which ensured optimal grip under varying driving conditions.
