The 2000 BMW Z3, part of the first generation of the model line, embodies the classic roadster spirit with its design and performance. This sporty convertible, available in Coupe form as well, comes with either a 2.3L Inline-6 engine delivering 170 hp or a more vigorous 2.8L variant squeezing out 193 hp. Both engines are paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Inside the compact cabin, occupants are treated with supportive sports seats and decent fit and finish. Notable features for the era include anti-lock brakes, traction control, and electronic stability control. The Z3, however, lacked modern comforts, like a comprehensive infotainment system.
