The 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is part of the first generation of Silverado trucks by GM. This heavy-duty, rear-wheel-drive pickup truck comes with either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. Two engine options were available: a standard 6.0-liter V8 with 300 hp or a powerful 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 putting out 300 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. The Silverado 2500 was offered in three trims: Base, LS, and LT. Notable features for the year include standard four-wheel ABS, optional keyless entry, and an available six-speaker audio system. Despite its age, this truck has proven itself a reliable and robust workhorse throughout the years.
