The 2000 Chrysler Sebring is part of the model's second generation. As a midsize vehicle, it was offered in both sedan and convertible body styles. Throughout its two trims – the LX and the upscale LXi – the Sebring was powered by a 2.5L V6 engine producing 168 horsepower, connected to a 4-speed automatic transmission. The sedan was configured with front-wheel drive, while the convertible offered both front-wheel and optional all-wheel drive options. On the tech front, the vehicle featured an optional 8-disc CD changer and a power-adjustable driver's seat.
