The 2000 Ford Excursion is part of the full-size SUV's first generation. Known as Ford's biggest SUV, it is based on the F-250 Super Duty pickup truck and offers ample space for passengers and cargo. It comes with three engine options: a 5.4L V8 producing 255 hp, a 6.8L V10 with 310 hp, and a 7.3L turbo-diesel V8 offering 235 hp. All engines are paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Excursion was offered in two trims, the XLT and the higher-tier Limited, both available in either RWD or 4WD configurations. Key features include a power driver's seat, keyless entry and a rear heater. The Excursion didn't have many of today’s tech features, but its heavy-duty, rugged construction and capabilities set it apart in its time.
