2000 Ford Focus Overview

The 2000 Ford Focus, a first-generation model in the competitive compact segment, offered a fresh and innovative design that set it apart. Available in sedan, hatchback, and wagon bodystyles, the Focus was powered by either a 107-hp 2.0L SPI I4 or a 130-hp 2.0L Zetec I4 engine, mated to a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. Notable for its time were safety features such as front, side, and curtain airbags, along with antilock brakes. Inside, the Focus surprised with roominess and comfort levels usually found in larger vehicles. Its infotainment system was basic reflecting the era, with AM/FM radio and a CD player.
