The 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport is part of the second-generation lineup of this Japanese automaker's midsize SUVs. It comes with either a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 133 horsepower, or a more powerful 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 189 horsepower. All trims are mated with a four-speed automatic transmission and are available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. On the inside, Mitsubishi decks the Montero Sport with a functional infotainment system, power windows, and air conditioning as standard, but there are some luxury add-ons, such as leather upholstery and a sunroof available for higher trim levels. Despite its age, the Montero Sport boasts some impressive safety features, including dual front airbags and ABS brakes.
