The 2000 Toyota Celica belongs to the seventh and last generation of Toyota's Celica line which was known for its sporty, forward-thinking design. Two trims were on offer, the GT and the GT-S. Both models were front-wheel drive with the GT being powered by a 1.8L I4 engine outputting 140 horsepower, while the GT-S was powered by the same size engine but made more power with 180 horsepower thanks to Toyota's VVTL-i variable valve timing. The GT-S also differentiated itself from the GT with a 6-speed manual transmission as opposed to the GT's 5-speed.
