The 2001 Chevrolet Camaro is an American muscle legend part of its 4th generation. It is available in two main trims: the base model and the racing-influenced Z28. The true soul of Camaro lies in its powertrain. The base model gets a 3.8-liter V6 delivering 200 horsepower, while the Z28 variant boasts a hearty 5.7-liter V8 delivering a robust 310 horsepower. Both models came with a standard five-speed manual transmission, an optional four-speed automatic and feature rear-wheel drive. Although not loaded with tech in the modern sense, the Camaro offered keyless entry, power mirrors, and, in some models, a Monsoon 500-watt sound system. Safety features include four-wheel ABS, front and rear ventilated disc brakes, and for added security, an ignition disable device.
