2001 Honda CR-V Overview

The 2001 Honda CR-V, a part of the compact crossover's second generation, is known for its reliability and practicality. Under the hood, it featured a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine producing 146 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. Available in both FWD and AWD, the CR-V was designed for versatility rather than performance. The CR-V came in three trim levels - LX, EX, and the top-of-the-line SE. It lacked some modern luxuries, but was equipped with features like power windows and mirrors, air conditioning, and cruise control. Safety features included dual front airbags, ABS, and seatbelt pretensioners. While it had no infotainment system, it did come with an AM/FM radio and CD player. Refreshed in 2000, the 2001 model saw minimal changes.
