The 2001 Mazda Tribute is a compact SUV that was among the first in Mazda's lineup. This vehicle was available in two trims, DX and LX, with options for either a 2.0-liter inline-four with 130 horsepower or a 3.0-liter V6 with 200 horsepower. The Tribute came with the standard front-wheel drive, but also offered four-wheel drive. It was known for its sporty nature, aided by handling components borrowed from the Mazda 626 sedan. Some of the key safety features included dual front airbags, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, and a security system. While it wasn't as technologically equipped as today's cars, it did come standard with an AM/FM stereo with CD player.
