2001 Toyota Celica Overview

The 2001 Toyota Celica is a part of the car's seventh and final generation. It offered spirited front-wheel drive performance, with two trims: the GT and the sportier GT-S. The GT was powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 140 hp, while the GT-S received a higher-revving version of the same engine, producing 180 hp. Both engines were mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, with the GT-S offering an optional 4-speed automatic with a manual shift feature. Standout features included an optional action package with sport suspension, a 6-speaker audio system, and unique styling cues. However, the 2001 Celica did lack in terms of interior space and comfort.
