The 2002 GMC Sonoma is a compact pickup truck from General Motors. Available in standard 2WD or optional 4WD, it features a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The Sonoma comes with two engine options: a 2.2L I4 producing 120 hp and a stronger 4.3L V6 with 190 hp. Buyers could opt for a regular cab, extended cab, or spacious crew cab. Key safety features include ABS brakes and daytime running lights, while an optional Comfort Convenience Package added power locks and windows, as well as air-conditioning. Infotainment was fairly basic, with an AM/FM radio and optional CD player. The 2002 model was at the tail end of the Sonoma's second (and final) generation before its replacement by the GMC Canyon in 2004.
