The 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle, part of the first generation of the reimagined 'bug,' is a compact car that's as charming as it is reliable. It is offered with three engine options, including a virile 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder producing 150 hp, a modest 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 115 hp, and an efficient 1.9-liter TDI that generates 90 hp. A 5-speed manual transmission comes standard with an available 4-speed automatic option. Available trims include GL, GLS, GLX, and the Turbo S which features sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes, and unique styling enhancements. Safety includes standard front and side airbags, ABS, and optional stability control. The interior houses a 6-disc CD changer and cozy seating, keeping in line with the nostalgic yet modern appeal of the New Beetle.
