2003 Buick Rendezvous Overview

The 2003 Buick Rendezvous was Buick’s first entry into the SUV market and marked the first generation of this crossover model. Under the hood, it featured a 3.4L V6 engine generating 185 horsepower, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive was standard with an all-wheel-drive option available. It also stood out for its roomy interior and comfortable ride for seven passengers. The model offered three trims: the base CX, the midrange CXL, and the luxury Ultra which debuted this year. Safety features included an anti-lock breaking system and optional side-impact airbags while the Ultra added traction control. The infotainment system featured AM/FM/CD stereo with rear seat audio controls and input jack for optional headphones. For this model year, Rendezvous made notable changes by upgrading to 17" aluminum wheels in the CXL models and adding a tire pressure monitoring system.
