The 2003 Dodge Ram is part of the third-generation lineup of this robust full-size pickup truck. Available in several trims: ST, SLT, and top-of-the-line Laramie, buyers had a choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive across the board. Under the hood, engine options ranged from a 215-hp 3.7-liter V6, a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 240-hp to a 5.9-liter V8 with 245-hp. Transmission options included a standard 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic. The 2003 model saw a redesign that included a new frame, suspension, powertrains, interiors, and sheet metal. Infotainment was simpler back in 2003; however, the Ram still offered an AM/FM stereo with CD player. Safety features were standard and included dual front airbags and anti-lock brakes.
